Our Current Goal for Cases

On October 27th, 2020, the Missoula City-County Health Department and other community leaders set a goal for Missoula County to decrease its weekly average COVID-19 case count to no more than 25 cases per 100,000 individuals.

Health Officer Ellen Leahy issued a new order to help achieve this goal. Changes in that order include limiting businesses' capacities to 50%, reducing gathering size to 25 people, and closing bars at 10:00 p.m., among other things.

The purpose of getting our caseload down is to keep our schools open, maintain hospitals capacity, protect essential services, and protect the vulnerable.
